Shelf life
Sliced and vacuum-packed cured meats have a long shelf life as long as they are unopened, often many months. Whole bacon sausages that have been opened should not be stored in tight plastic, instead wrap them in paper or a bacon bag. Dry cutting surface can be cut away. Divided cured food is best stored in the refrigerator.
Cured sausages are perfect as a gift.
